Who is this course for?

If you are currently out of work and looking for a new opportunity, this could be for you this qualification will boost your career prospects by giving you the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers look for.

Course dates:

Monday 6 February 2017 – Friday 24 February 2017 (9 days of study over 3 weeks)

Day / times:

Monday & Wednesday 9:30 - 3:15pm and Friday 9:30 - 4pm

Areas Covered:

  • The importance of appearance & behaviour in customer service
  • Legislation, regulation & procedures to follow in customer service
  • Communicate customers’ problems’ with others
  • The customer service job role
  • Handling telephone calls from customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers
  • Introduction to Customer Service

Eligibility Requirements:

• Aged 19+
• 3 years resident in the UK/EU/EEA
• Currently receiving benefits JSA/Universal Credit
• Able to provide a passport or birth certificate/travel documents

Who is this course for?

If you are currently out of work and looking for a new opportunity, this could be for you. These qualifications will develop the knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. They include the roles played by workers – from principles and values through to health and safety and working with others.

Course dates:

Tuesday 7 February 2017 – Friday 3 March 2017 (12 days of study over 4 weeks)

Day / times:

Tuesday 9:30 - 4:00pm and Thursday & Friday 9:30 - 3:15pm

Areas Covered:

  • Understand the Range of Service Provision and Roles within Health and Social Care (Adults and Children and Young People), Early Years and Childcare
  • Understand the Principles and Values in Health and Social Care (Adults and Children and Young People), Early Years and Childcare
  • Awareness of Protection and Safeguarding in Health and Social Care (Adults and Children and Young People), Early Years and Childcare
  • Introduction to Communication in Health and Social Care (Adults and Children and Young People), Early Years and Childcare
